High egt's with comp, is somthing not working?
How long does it take for you guys to get to 1100-1200 or hotter with a comp on 5x5, I don't notice much difference between level 2 and 5 my cruising temps on level 3 at about 80km/hr are 600-700 but climb a bit on a grade, but not a whole lot, on level 5 wot( for a short distance up a slight grade) I hit 1000 but I thought it would climb alot more than this, all conections are good and the pump wire is soldered, but I am thinking somthing is wrong with the box , should there be a very noticeable difference in level 2-5, even with the loose stock TC?

I don't run the Comp anymore, but my fueling situation is comparable. From 3rd gear at about 25km/h up to the top of fourth, I was just getting to 1300F. I was surprised how long it took. I don't remember what the pyro was on my 5x5 run. I do remember FP being at 6 psi, and then my truck not running anymore . . .

A difference in max boost assumed you have your wastegate turnbuckled to shut it down??
Cruising temps on level ground won't tell you anything... will be the same at any level of box setting!

Find you a steep hill and wot it you should see high EGT'S
as rj said if you don't have Turbo wastegate disabled you should see
higher EGT'S at wot. Any way I did.

I think you may have tapped the wrong vp wire there are to in the insulation you should have tapped the bigger one. I know because I tapped the wrong one and had the same #'s then when I tapped the correct one I can only run on 5x5 for 10-15 secs. max then my temps are in the 1400's so you definently have some thing going on

Same here, the hill I test on takes about 20 seconds from a 60 mph start to 94 mph over the top....1250F

You get hot very quick on level 5! That's why you must watch your gauges when you play. Keep it below 1300 up hills and 1500-1600 only for a few seconds.

I'm out side right now in -20C and trying to find the right wire, which of the 2 sets is it set further back towards the block wrapped in a mesh or the set out more wrapped in a plastic, thanks, really cold out.

Yikes, that is cold! Where are you at? Gotta be careful with that little HY35 on your 01 auto....the higher levels on the Comp will let it overspeed quickly and cause a sharp spike in egt's.

Well I just found the right wire, and can really tell a difference now, the truck really pulls now, I didn't really open it up yet on the highway or backroad yet, it's dark and icy and I don't want to smash it up, but can't wait for some warmer weather.

glad to hear that's all it was. for some more fun and more smoke you can unplug the map sensor from the block it will give you more low end power. just in case you didn't know about this.
