The turn buckle is really a moot point if he already exceeds 20 psi in stock form - it isn't going to cause an egt drop.

Spring is optional...never had one myself. You can just lock the wastegate arm to the turbo housing and lock it closed. Your choice.

so when you put it on do you pull it towards the front of the truck or the rear.

I'm thinking timing from the Comp....and the boost fooler, with the comp on 2x2 or so...will give a lot more boost than it will increase egt's????

Could there be a hole in the intercooler "charge cooler"?

Even if he has a boost leak, there is more than a sufficient amount of boost in stock form to not have an egt issue.

Just wondering if the depth of the thermocouple would cause an abnormal reading. If I remember right guages were changed out with no change.

I would rule out the boost leak guess. Like CTDNUT said, you have more than enough boost exceeding the stock setting to cause any problems. Now if you were down around 14-15psi then yeah, you'd have a boost leak for sure!

I guess I'm still not seeing how the truck is pushing the 25-26 psi boost numbers without having something done to the wastegate...........after 20psi it throws a code and starts de-fueling right??? What kind of boost gauge do you have and where is it ported in at?

CTDNUT also said something about the possibility of maybe the ECM screwing with the timing, but I would rule that out now knowing that your truck doesn't smoke much.............if it smoked A LOT then that would be an excellent idea!!!!!

And as suggested above, how far down into your manifold is your probe?? If they are threaded in to far it usually makes them read funny.........not sure HOW funny but it's worth a shot to check it out.
