HID kit

Anyone running aftermarket HID kit in their truck? I'm thinking about upgrading lightning system in my truck and maybe throw in 4300K HID kit in it...

the one problem i have seen with the HID kits is the daytime running lights are hard on the bulbs i hear. Maybe someone has some input as to how to disable the running lights other than the ebrake.

Not sure DRLs are going to even be an issue on his truck, being an american truck.

I have the 6000k kit on my truck, lighting is fantastic with it. No high beams, but I don't need them with the light of these things. DRLs are run off the high beam circuit, so its not an issue with the kit I have. If you get the bi-xenon kits with the high beams, they might be on with the DRLs though. Thats the case on my mom's ford that I put those lights in. Since its all on relays, the DRL's would only be hard on the relay running at half voltage. Bulbs would see full voltage as long as the relay functions properly.

US doent have DRLs. I've had my HIDs on for 5yrs+ make sure its a clear lense not frosted or the beam will be scattered, they now have hi/lo beam in one bulb, make sure kit doesnt have an external ignotor thats old technology. Best ballast if you can find it is hella, best bulb is phillips. This is what i've found in my reserch & ofcourse is IMO

Here is my thread with the light upgrades I did to my truck. Towards the end of the thread is where I did my HID upgrade.

looking at this kit
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...:X:RTQ:CA:1123
Asked seller if he has one for my truck, he replied:
"Yup I do which is H13 and you will need a set of relay harness as well for dodge ram or else it will be flicking, a set of relay harness is 35 dollars extra."

These are the ones I got

http://www.purecummins.com/catalog/l...ing-system.php

They are cheaper if you contact Flashtech directly and they come with a lifetime warranty. And they of higher quality than other kits.

I use to all the time but I've had mine for 5yrs+ & originally paid $370, now everybody runs them so no one flashes anymore.
