HID Guru's

I just put some 1pc lights and 6000K HI/Low from xenongate in my truck. Everything works and they are pretty dang bright however the hi/low doesn't work right. They don't change like reg bulbs do, if the low beam is on and I go to high and flick the handle the highbeam indicator comes on the dash but there is no change in the beam however if I push the headlight switch in to cut the lights off and pull it back out it will change to highbeams. Surely they aren't made like that?

All connections are tight I tripple checked them. It sucks turning the lights off/on to change the beam.

Might be your multi function switch. Try really snapping the lever back and forth for hi/low.

Here an update..
Ive had a heck of a time getting them adjusted, Ive put washers behind the top mount on either side, like 5 washers on the drivers, to get them down and pointed at the road the high beam is still way up in the air, Kinda pointless (the low beams are atleat 3-5x brighter than my old highbeams, and have a nice wide light real bright pattern 60-70yards out and 40yards wide) the "high beams" don't seem to be near as wide but its hard to tell they don't even hit much of the road.

Ive been thinking could I have put the bulbs in "upside down" do bulbs chnage the angles or just increase power going to them?? If ive done this someone come a smack me upside the head . I don't want to pull the headlights back out to try unless its a possibility. Here is the bulbs I have, I installed them with the thin black rail on the bulb towards the ground.http://www.xenongate.com/9004+Bi-Xen...t+HID+Kit.html

Also is there any diff in between hooking up to the pass or driver side of the factory harness??? Mine are hooked into the drivers side?

How dumb would i be if....

I have the "highbeams" as lowbeams since they are adjusted down so much and the low beams are up in the air and look like pencil beams but if turned around they would hit the pavement and light up alot more and I could take out some of the washers, still wouldn't explane not swithing from hi/low through the multi func switch though.

Its really makes ya want to hit your head on the wall, no instructions, no tech line/support, and just a handfull of people with hids kits and I dont know of anyone else with the Hid High and Hid Low kit like the one I have, most kits are Hid Low Halogen High beams.

well im not a guru, but i installed a set of hi/lows in my side by side. the bulbs i have only go in one way. now their are at least two diff styles of hi/low kits that ive seen. the ones i have use a solenoid to actually move the bulb in and out of the lens assembly. cuz theres only one filiment if you will. the other style uses two bulbs which are offset to create the different light pattern off the lens. and it shouldnt matter which side you have them hooked to, drivers/pass, cuz that only sends the signals to the ballasts. hope this helps at all...
