Did you round of the nut real bad.... is tgis what you are asking??? Is it all off and you just need to know what to do next????
Just replace it. It is just standard hardware.....You can get it at any hardware store.....

Technically, its metric hardware.

Just get a new nut. 10mm.

Might be worth removing turbo/manifold so you can work on it on a bench. You can get a grinder/saw/torch on it then.

While you have the manifold off and you wait for the new gaskets you could port-match it to the head with a die grinder... helps with spoolup and egts.

I did the exact same thing recently and ended up cutting the stud and replacing it and the rounded off nut.

Not to hijack - but how much does it help porting the manifold? Egt wise and spoolup wise?

Thank you

Just a note, Of course they make extractor sockets and tools that will take out a rounded bolt. I recomend if your changing your charger , you need a manifold as well! But if it rounded off, These guys are giving good advice! Much easier just to take it off and go from there! If i can help give me a call!

You cant get anything in there other than a wrench. It took me alot less time to get the cut off wheel and just cut the stud and bolt off real close to the flange and use a chisel to finish it than it would have to take the entire manifold off. I agree will be easier on the knuckles and what not but if you break a bolt off in the head you will have two problems and not just one. Good luck whatever you decide.

vise grip makes a special bolt extractor that grabs rounded nuts. http://www.irwin.com/irwin/consumer/...rwinProd100512

sears normally carry this. be sure and put penetrating oil all over. then hit with copper hammer to loosen. leave overnite to allow oil to work.

last resort is of course cut nut off with die grinder, then replace stud.

be sure and use anti-size compound upon assembly.
