Help me pick a new wheel and tire combo!

Well everyone...the 19.5's are in the classifieds. Just can't race on them 285/70R19.5's, and it's a PITA changing them every weekend. Sooo, even though they look cool, I need something I can daily drive and race on too!

I have a few wheels and tires in mind for my truck, but wanna here some other opinions. Want something in the 32-33" range, like a 285, or a 33/12.50 if I have too. I really don't like the sticking out look that a 33/12.50 get's you!

Want something in a 17" or 18" with some "bling" factor...doesn't have to be too flashy!

BTW, here's what I got to work with!

Let's here some opinions, and post pics if you got 'em
Thanks in Advance,
Chris

Since you want to race I think some Black and Chrome 951 Moto Metal 20's with some 305/55r20 tires would be SWEET! Lol

That is exactly what I want eventually but I just don't have the cash for it now

Man, I like the way it looks now. I understand what you are trying to do, but I just had to weigh in. Good luck with the search.

My friend has some 17 inch alcoas on his truck with 285 BFG's. They look very good on his 3rd gen. I like them alot and am thinking of buying a set of 17 inch alcoas but I want 285 Nitto Terra grapplers mounted on them instead of the BFG's.
Heres what his wheels look like.

I know...whatever I do, I know I'll regret it. The truck just looks mean.

I don't know about the black on tan though...it would either look awesome, or look sweet! Not much in between with a black wheel.

Like the 20" idea though...might have to do a little checking into that!

Chris I think these would look sweet but they are pricey, well at least to me they are.

I've looked at those too...I don't know how well I like the "spokes," but they do look good! I'll throw them in the hat!

Ok, I think I have it narrowed down to 2 choices...Give me your thoughts!

Setup 1:

American Racing Series 6085 Chamber Chrome ... Chamber Chrome

with 285/65R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers!

OR, Setup 2:

American Racing Series 619 Fuel 8 Chrome ... Fuel 8 Chrome

Wrapped in 305/50R20's!

What do you guys think?? I'm leaning towards the 20's, but not sure how they would look on my truck!

Thanks Guys,
Chris

i just put some 18" xd balzacs and nitto terra grapplers on this morning. it looks great. i like the look of 20"s but i am afraid i would shred them in the rocks. i would suggest checking out rim-zone on ebay. they saved me about $1200 over les schwab, including shipping.

Yeah it would...I wish they made it!

The one thing I do like about the 20" wheels is that the are offered in a +30mm offset...and the more wheel/tire I can tuck, the better I like it! I HATE tires sticking out like curb feelers!
