Help me modify my 99
After finishing up my Walbro install and the surprise tranny rebuild, I'm looking for tips on the best bang for the buck for upgrades.
I'm not looking for anything too radical. It would be nice to get a bit better mileage in the process.
I'm looking at the 4" exhaust from Jerry Jardine Engineering. Hard to beat a LIFETIME WARRANTY for $330 shipped.
What about the high ram intakes and Cold Air boxes??
Does the Quadzilla max mileage module work??
Thanks for the help
Brad

i got the Edge Juice w/ Attitude. i love it. it has so many gauge functions that would clutter up the dash and already huge a-pillar. and the adjustable on the fly is nice too..... and the turbo timer.... and i could keep going on and on....

2. High ram intakes are a waste of money & won't increase hp at your level. They have been tested on dyno & don't really help much at all. They are for big hp guys trying to pull every last pony from their engines. Cold air intakes are nice upgrades, I recommend AFE. A BHAF is a good upgrade at your level & will support over 400hp if you decide to go more power later.
3. Quadzilla max module will increase your mileage with a slight gain in performance. I tested a XZT+ & noticed my mileage increased 40 miles per tank.

a lot of guys are raving about the XZT+ and its cheaper than the edge ez to boot. You can also go with the Max Mileage module and then later on pay a fee to upgrade it to a xzt+ if you want. If you go with a xzt+ right away, I believe the fuel mileage setting on that is the same as whats in the max mileage module. they both have usb ports so you can download new programs to them.

Smarty's are nice. You pretty much have the basics covered. Guages and you want an intake and exhaust. If your tranny isnt built you may wanna look at somthing a little softer than the smarty. What knd of rebuild was it, stock?

Smarty is a great product, excellent mild hp gain (50-60ish).
If you're looking for more like 100hp, you'll have to get a box of some sort...and I think I saw someone selling a TST PM3 in the classifieds (great box).

A timing box should help with mileage. The power puck or quad seem to be the best bangs for the buck. If you still wanted more a small set of injectors could be a next step =P
