Help!! MBRP muffler question???

I am installing the new exhaust right now and I just went to put the muffler on and it doesn't say inlet or outlet? I haven't put a muffler on in a while and I can't remember which way the muffler goes and both flanges are the same size. I don't want to put it on back wards because the inside is different depending which way you put it. So is the first picture the inlet or is the second one? I feel so retarded asking this.

I installed mine backwards on purpose for a bit more sound. It is a bit louder backward.

Isn't there hangers welded to the muffler? My MBRP muffler has welded hangers, but that is a 3 year old system, might be different now.

I have that same muffler and I installed it so that pic1 is the inlet so that it would be quieter. Before ordering it I read somewhere that it's designed that way so you can decide if you want it loader or quieter. Could be a bunch of hoey but it makes sense to me that if all the sound is going into the open holes that it would be quieter that the other way round.

Second picture is right, but it isn't loud enough even that way, almost sounds like a factory muffler to me, think I need a straight pipe instead.
