Help with instal on a pyro gauge

I just got a set of DiPricol gauges for my truck and for some reason my pyro gauge is not working. The install seemed pretty straight forward. I taped the manifold infront of the turbo no problem, got the wires hooked up for the lights(they work), hooked up the other two wires, one positive and one negative on the battery like the instructions said. All that said, the pyro gauge is not working. Any ideas?

Where did you hook the probe wires themselves?

You mentioned the ones for the lights, and power, but no probe.

Sorry, the probe wires are hooked up. With my gauge the probe wires can only go one way so Im pretty sure thats not the problem. Yellow to yellow and red to red on the probe end, then there is a conecter on the other that only goes one way. Why does the gauge need a wire straight to the positive and negative of the battery?

That's odd.

They usually have one switched hot for guage power, one dimmable for the lighting, and one ground for all of it.
Not familiar with DiProcol though.

I have pricols , and on mine , there were the 2 pyro wires , then a ground , and one for switched B+ (aka on with the key, i used the cig lighter circuit) all on th eone swuare plug. Then there are the wires for the lights.

As to why it doesn't work , i have no idea, if i can check something on mine for you and see if it is the same , just PM me.

Still havent figured this thing out. Here is a scaned copy of the wiring directions that came with the gauge. The pyro gauge has 6 pins.

I pulled the probe out tonight, hooked it up to a volt meter and used a propane torch to make sure it was working correctly. It was working fine so Im still stumped.

The pyrometer sending wires are going from the thermocouple right to the gauge, correct?

That is were the trouble is, regardless of lighting, grounding or anything else.

The gauge should read when hooked to the hot thermocouple, even if its sitting on the truck seat no other wires connected.
