help with body lift?

i want to put a 3 inch body lift on my truck like i posted before and almost everyone told me to go to performance accessories. well i went to there site as well as many other sites. they all dont make body lifts to fit my year truck with a diesel engine. does anyone with the same year truck of mine or just anyone know where i can get a 3inch body lift that will fit a diesel engine? help would be great

body lifts can cause some issues. some that come up are, bumper alignment, charge air cooler, ac cooler, radiator, shift linkage for manuals and the 4wd engagement lever, sometimes wiring gets pulled a lil tight or wont reach. Highly recomended if you do take this route it to upgrade the body mounts to poly bushings. just some of the issues to think about.

Get the one for the V10.......the kit will work just fine. The only thing you have to modify to get it to work with the diesel is cut about 1 1/2" off of the drivers side intercooler pipe, everything else works JUST fine! But one thing you will need to do is loosen your intercooler boots for movement, once you've got it all lifted, re-tighten your boots and you're done.

The wires, hoses, fuel lines, all of that stuff is easily done. Just double check you have EVERYTHING loose before you lift it. Then you will need a welder and a chopsaw to extend your shifter linkage ( if you have an auto ).

Other than that it is CAKE! The bumper will align....it might take you a little adjusting though....these bumpers never fit for crap to begin with.

I've had mine on for almost 2 years now and I have had ZERO issues with mine. The only reason I did mine was because mine was already lifted 5" with suspension. Well I wanted to move up to 38"s but I didn't want to rip everything I had just bought off, and buy a bigger lift! So this was an option and to tell you the truth it looks great and I haven't regretted it one bit! One thing that makes it look good though, is the factory Dodge fender liners that go in the wheel well on the bed.......mine came stock with them but you cannot see ANY gaps what so ever......I'm serious NONE!

Hope that helps!

No, trust me it needs to be shorter......the intercooler pipe goes from the intake horn to the bottom of the intercooler. So when you raise the body it's reducing the distance between the bottom of the intercooler and the intake horn......thus needing a shorter pipe.

One other thing I forgot to mention......swapping injectors is SOOOOOOOOOOO much easier having the body lift. No more tight spaces to work with!!

Yep, there is two ribs on the pipe that help the boot seal and keep it from blowing off......I went down to the first rib from the top of the pipe and cut there. You'll know what I'm talking about once you see it.....it measures almost exactly an 1 1/2".

I bought mine from 4wheel Parts here in Denver. It's been so long ago I don't remember what I paid for mine.
