help with the air dog 150 install

I decided to put the air dog 150 on tonight so I dropped the tank and from the instructions that are sent it is hard to see where the suction tube goes? Do I drill a hole or does it replace the factory line and where does the return go to back to the factory or somewhere else?

Look in search, for ******* 53 Mega cab install.
This is the way I installed mine. I didn't run return
line to pump. I used Y supplied with kit. Cut filler
hose and insert.

I just got done with a install on a 2nd gen yesterday. You have to drill a 1 1/8 inch hole in the tank for the draw straw. Since it was a short bed I took the factory lift pump out and drilled the hole just to the right of the factory pump. There is a flat spot between the in tank pump and filler tube. Thats where I put mine.

For the return you will have to cut about 1 1/2 inches out of the filler tube and install the "Y" that is provided.

If I can offer any advise. Just make sure you get all the fitting tight. Then double check them. Then drive it a bit and re-check the fittings. You dont want to end up like I did. I checked and made sure all fittings were tight except the return line...

I asked around for pics of the install from someone and no one had anything.. I should have taken photos.. I do have the directions in e-mail format. If you want them PM me your address and I will shoot it over.

I drilled the 1 1/8" hole in a flat spot close to the sending unit and right behind it out of the way of the cross member, then I called Toby at air dog and asked him about the return because when I was taking the tank down the factory return broke He told me to use the old 3/8" feed line on the sending unit instead of the 5/16" one and just cut the tube so it will drain like the old return line ( I hope you are all following this because I am confusing myself) so I did this in the morning I am gonna finish it up. So I this all right so far!

Thanks Nike for the tips!
