Heatsink on VP44 Electronics
Anyone tried this and do you have pics? What are the results? Does it help with the dead pedal problem?
I've been reading the posts regarding the heat effect on the VP44 electronics, as it seems I'm having the same problem. I'm interested in trying this to prolong the life of my IP, since it is my 2nd one on this truck and I'm out of warranty.
Another question I have is if you used a heatsink with a fan, how would you wire it in? The fans on the heatsinks all seem to be 12v.

Any "ignition on" power source could easily be tapped into, those fans use hardly any amperage.

I like the finned fuel cooler idea...could mount it under the drivers seat with a little fan to pull some cool AC type air across it. I know we need the heat in the winter but a steel fuel tank would fix the whole problem. Maybe the JC Whitney finned oil filter set up as a fuel pre filter.

i was looking under my friends duramax the other day, they have what looks like a fuel cooler right in front of the fuel tank. its a nice setup, also i am sure someone could rig up a small tanny cooler or P/S cooler for the task.
