Headlights/Brite Box

Today I replaced my headlight bulbs with Silverstar Ultra's. Big improvement to go along with my PIAA fog lights that fit perfectly in the stock fog light space AND uses the existing harness & switch. My question is can I still use the Brite Box to keep the fog lights on with the new bulbs or will the new bulbs get too hot? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Do the fog lights have relays?

No relays. Worried about the heat from the new headlight bulbs.

PIAA 530 LED's Very bright white light that fit in the existing space where my stock driving lights were. I went with LED because they last longer than regular bulbs and draw little current allowing me to use the existing wiring harness and switch. Have to look hard to notice they are not stock. (until I turn them on)

you will not have any (extra) heat issues with the silverstars if that's what you are asking. the wattage should be the same.

the silverstars give off white light because it 'filters' out the other colors with the coating on the bulb. yes, they will look 'whiter' - but in fact they are not any 'brighter' . . .

i was also going to suggest relays for the fogs, but if they are LED than it would probably not be necessary. on the other hand - a relayed headlight harness setup would be a good choice to take the load off the headlight switch in the dash . . .

On my truck, I pulled the fog light relay and jumped the leads. Now my fogs stay on when I put the high beams on....
Is this what you were asking about....
I am in Annapolis now if you want to see how I did it.....

b4wheeler: I was worried the new headlight bulbs used in conjunction with the britebox would cause my headlights to overheat and burn. I hooked everything back up and now my low & high beams and fog lights stay on when the highbeams are switched on without too much heat. Where are you in Annapolis?
