heading to the 1/4 mile tomorrow
me and my buddy are taking his 1994 5speed to the track. we ground the plate, but we're thinking about totally removing it, thoughts? adjusting or closing the waste gate. we put a bhaf on today. and are taking the muffler off for the race. anything else we should do? thanks

Remove the air filter at the track, it'll help add 1-2 MPH.
In all honesty, with a 5 speed, his 1/4 mile times will vary a lot depending on how well he launches at the start and makes that nasty 2-3 gear shift.
If you want to really go fast, make sure you no-lift shift the entire race, just keep the pedal on the floor board.

removed the plate at in the pit, truck wouldnt start, so by the time we got it back in we didnt have time to block the wastegate. we ran 20.02 @ 66.5 mph in a 4x4 launch. not bad for a totally stock truck with a bhaf and a custom ground plate. i noticed a big difference from the stock airbox to the bhaf, alot more turbo noise, which is a good thing!
