Gravy,
Looks sharp!! I am a fan of the white trucks with a black or gray bottom.
Originally I put dark gray rhino liner on. Looked good. When I had the accident and discovered the rust, I stripped it off and did the rockers and fender trim in matte black.
Here's a before and after.

ok, ive made up my mind, up to the first body line it goes. and gravy, im diggin the painted bumper peices. i had an idea to paint over the goofy grey parts with a black and your truck kiilled 2 birds with one stone. what did you use on the bumper? ive seen that bumper coating stuff. seems it would do better than regular old paint.

Ben.....Im still having a hard time with the rust you experienced - I would have thought if the rockers were sprayed, no air would get to the metal underneathh = no rust....
When you initially had your rockers sprayed, did you spray over rust? What kind of prep was done?

Dr,
All it takes is a pinhole in the liner to let moisture in. Then that's all she wrote. Ask any body guy about it.
The truck was immaculate when I first had it done.
I found out about the rust issue by accident. My first deer hit was on the passenger side. They had to strip off the liner from the door to blend everything in. The was a softball size spot smack dab in the middle. Nice. This stuff was maybe 1.5 years old then.
The rust seems to be in the "high wear areas", where its constantly getting pummeled.
I have a few friends that have done their 4 wheeler racks in this and have experienced the same thing.
I dunno. I have seen it on a Line-x'd truck also.
Too much of a headache for me. Thats why I went with paint this time. Get it reshot every other year and call it good. Nothing is hidden, you know what's going on.
I honestly hope that everybody's else experience with this stuff is waaaaay better than mine.

Now I am really hesitant. I am thinking, maybe something like this clear cover would be better? Can change it easily if needed, and it is clear to see through in case there is rust underneath.
