just as the title says have you ever broke a billet input shaft?

 

I know of several that broke...

No such thing as "unbreakable" You say that to some of the guys around here and they will go out of their way to prove they can break it

 

Ya what Lary says nothing is unbreakable. Just ask any one that has been a welder or mechanic in the oil field, those fellas put a new meaning to broken.

 

I've broken a billet output, but Opie has designed an input shaft that is physically larger in diameter then the standard billet shafts. And you have to run his converter cause the hub inside of it has to be larger to accept the larger shaft.

I broke an ATS 2 piece last year. Not only that but the other shafts in the trans are stock!

 

They all break... Leave too hard too often, or screw up with a lock-up switch and you will bust one eventually.

 

now that really says something about ats

 

I broke a billet input this summer. Locked it in 2nd gear under full load

the new trans I ordered has the Sonnax 1 piece 300M billet input, hopefully I won't break that
