If you want a complete tranny, buy the injectors, hook up the pump wire, and power brake the absolute snot out of it. Have you checked your FP lately? Just out of curiosity.

Drain the fluid, smoke the tranny, put the fluid back in and then call her from the otherside of town saying " honey, the tranny gave up the ghost" you won't be 100% lieing

71000 miles on the truck but I dont think the tranny has near that much. I bought the truck used and found a scribbled message in the owners manual; transmission replaced at 58000. It sure seems strong.

Bigblue. I just had the lift pump replaced over Thankgiving. Idleing at 14 lbs. Replaced it cause it was leaking, not for pressure. By the way, the comp works great.

For 2001 automatic trucks there is a TSB
for low engine power when towing. Some 2001 trucks seem to be affected more then others.

TSB # 18-024-00 is a re-flash that alters or eliminates de-fueling during shifts (i don't remember which).

You might want to check your truck for this update.

Called Dave Friday. Wow is all I can say! Very nice guy, takes the time to explain any questions that you have (and alot more!). He told me about the lifetime warranty. I was amazed. At the end of the conversation, I was figuring up how much money I needed to get together so I asked him about the core charges for the converter and valve body. He said he didn't charge anything for cores, he trusts that his customers will return the old units. I about fell over! With people like this still in the world, it makes a hard decision easy.
