You would probably have to run a crazy small pulley on that thing to flow enough air. They are ment for gassers that spin twice the speed .

I have an old book titled "SUPER POWER TURBOS, BLOWERS AND NITROUS-OXIDE" on the cover is a small block chevy with a 12-71 fed with twin turbo so anything can be done. As for pulley size, there are lots of different sizes available as that is the method of setting over/underdrive, you do not have to necessarily go crazy small on the huffer just go bigger on the drive pulley....or jackshaft it.

The big down side to this is the cost...if you can get a ht3b for $2-300 or a paxton for $1500?? you will have plenty of work either way, by the time you get from the turbo to the charger back to the cooler you would have spent less time and money to build your twin piping. One primary benefit of the turbo is you have the ability to turn it up down on or off all by your foot...a belt driven charger is pushing all the time, awesome on the strip....not so much when fuel gets expensive and you want to go for a drive. You would get style and creativity points, but you might not like being the tuning gunea pig, if you go with twins there are a bunch of guys here to help answer your questions.

Good Luck either way'
GREG

I used to run a party boat that was powered by three 12-71 TI's.
Twin turbos. Each fed into an intercooler that sat on top of a 6-71 blower feeding 6 cyl.
Those engines worked so hard i've seen the compressor housing glow cherry red.

Not to needlessly bring up old threads, but I came across this at another Dodge site:

Twins feeding a Whipple supercharger on a CTD.

. . . . . . with 21 psi boost at idle and over 99 psi at wot this system is unique, the turbocharger intergrated aluminum freon precooler attached to output side of the supercharger was designed and manufactured here as was the stainless/ceramic duel pipe per cylinder exhaust manifold.the aluminun lower crank pulley is also designed/machined here.ceramic/teflon araies pistons rods/crank with oil shedding coating by swaintech, dry sump system here, race cam/roller lifter system is also unique designed and manufactured here.awesome instant throttle response especially when the nitrous/nitromethane switch is on(guys do not add nitrous/nitromethane injection without 0.90 copper head gasket, triple stainless oringed head and block, araies pistons, haisley's rods and crank as i can promise you it will not survive one run).

(Forgive me if it's a repeat post).

21 PSI @ idle and 99 PSI @ WOT --- OMG!

That got some serious HP/TQ numbers!
