Has anyone put a Detroit Diesel turbo on their cummins?

A good friend of mine has an airesearch off a V-12 Detroit that I was considering for a bottom in a compond setup. The charger is a brand new reman unit that has been sitting on his shelf for a while. From what I understand, on the V-12 it was set up sequentially, only feeding 6 cylinders, rather than compounds.
