I recently got a new trans. I decided to leave my lock-up switch on the truck. Well I tried it out yesterday (with the switch) and WOW what a difference. But I don't like having to turn it off and on when stopping. So I was thinking about putting a micro switch under the gas pedal to activate it when I floor it. That way the trans will unlock itself when I let off to stop. I still can use a on/off switch but with it on, its controlled by WOT. Anybody see any issues with that other than slow speed pulling?

 

The only problem I see with a micro switch on the throttle peddle would be it will still unlock when you're just cruising down a slight grade. You know, where you just let off the throttle to maintain speed. I personally like locked all the time when I'm on a highway or freeway.

 

What about when you use the cruise?

 

i was gonna set mine up with the brake light switch down on the pedal so when you hit the brakes it will unlock the converter.
