Haisley HMR Street Drag Clutch

I was just wandering if anyone is running this clutch and if they like it and how much power your putting through it. Thanks

Thumbs up

I've got it in my truck and absolutely love it. IMO it shifts better & faster now than with the stock clutch. I've left the line at the drag strip at 2500 rpms and cut mid 1.9 60' times with it so far with no more than the EZ on level 4 and TST on 3-3 (about 400 hp worth of fuel). A lot of people say how hard the tranny is to shift with a dual disk, but it's not the case with this clutch. It goes into 1st and reverse very easily when stopped, too (a problem I've read about with other duals). When downshifting I try to heel & toe to help the syncros out, but it shifts smoothly without it. At idle it has the gear clash grinding noise, but to me it's almost a "diesel" sound and not the howling/whining "bad bearing" sound that other clutches make. On a 2nd gen truck the motor should easily drown out the clutch noise. I'll be able to put the hammer to it in a few more weeks, so i'll test its holding power then, but so far I'm extremely happy with it.

John

PS... Patty & Van were great to deal with.
