alright so i took out the silencer ring. very simple and easy. but imt rying to get more whistle and everyone keeps saying gut your intake tube. well can anyone help me out and tell me how to gut a stock intake hose? if you could that would be great. oh and i heard if you get a BHAF it whistles even more so im thinking about that. or my buddy also has a AEM brute force intake hes willing to give me cheap but right now i just want to gut the stock intake tube so help would be aprreicated.

 

I think they are referring to a 3rd gen, which has a bunch of baffles in the intake hose. I've never seen a 12V thats had one. They may be suggesting you gut the intake BOX, meaning you drill a bunch of holes in the bottom plenum of the air intake box, it'll get you a little more whistle, but a BHAF will do the best job of it.

 

You're best bet for more whistle is to ditch the stock airbox and install an aftermarket cone style filter...

 

Like mentioned above, there's nothing to gut on the 94-02 intake tubes, they're hollow.

The BHAF will do it, so will and AFE intake or old Psychotty intake...nothing was more abnoxious than those old Psychotty's because you had to drill a 4" hole in your cowl.

 

Tell your buddy to sell me his AEM Brute force.

 

What ever happened to the old Scotty intakes? What made them call it quits?
