Guage Pods

Guage Pods
Who makes a nice A-pillar pod for 3 guages, I have the tweeters on the A-pillar so I think it might be in the way. I would like one that is colored to match my dark grey interior. The only one I have seen is the black Auto-Meter ones.

Holycack,<br><br>I have the Autometer 3 gauge pod in my 01. My interior is also dark grey. The gauge pod from Autometer was so close to the color of the factory A-Pillar trim that I didn't paint mine. Can't tell the difference.

I installed my gauges in the Auto Meter triple mount A-pillar with tweeter and had every intention of painting it after my install was all done. Once it was up there,,,,, it looked great to me. I've had lots of people look at the set up and nobody has noticed yet. Even when the truck is setting in the sun and you look at it from the front,,,,, both sides look the same. The up side was I didn't have to worry about screwing up the paint job on the pillar. (You know,,,,, the old "Drop it in the dirt while the paint is still wet trick" or the "paint I used peels off after 6 months cause I didn't prep it right" problem. [undecided]<br> I was well pleased with the Auto Meter A-pillar in the way it fit. I removed my stock pillar instead of covering it with the AM pillar and used the "one screw at the top" method to hold it in place. Fits like a glove! ;D <br><br>

I did the same as Dennis, with the Propod. I have the agate interior, and the pod matches perfect. ;D Also did the one screw trick, but I used 2 instead. Saved the factory cover from cannabalism

Funny you should mention that. I took my Function-14 printout with me to a dealer close to work over my lunch hour. My '01 interior code from the print out is -AZ Agate. Crossing that in the Mopar touch-up paint book spits out:
p/n 82201399
Code: LAZ
Agate Interior
about $8 for a 5 oz. rattle can.

Mechanos, LAZ and AZ ARE the same paint code. For some reason Chrysler sometimes puts another letter in their code. If you were to go to any paint supply store or body shop, they could look up either code and come up with the same color.
