Tough question!!
What is your truck going to be used for?
Do you drive on ice or through snow??
Reason I ask about snow is because I do and the 3 gsk made my throttle alot more sensitive. This can be a bit scarry on ice (my 94 went sideways at 70mph + more than once. I like you am intersted in others thoughts as it is time to order a gsk for my 96.

I bought the 4GSK for my truck. I figured the $100 price difference wasnt bad for the 12 valve springs. I figure that it cant hurt to replace the vlaves springs at 235K on the ticker. I plan to add the 3 GSK and then the little spring if I dont get the fueling I want. I have read several times of minor driving, starting, and surging problems with the 4 GSK. Also You cant buy the extra spring to make the 3K a 4K so it only made sence to me to get the big kit and save the extra spring till I am happy with the fueling.

I added the 4K
basically cause There were no 3Ks when i wanted one. Now surely i cannot rev to 4K safely just yet, (retainers and holder pending) BUT if i decided i want more fuel up in the higher RPMS to spool twins or somethin, I already have the Kit and dont have to worry about takin the assembly apart again. So far i can fuel hard to about 3800 but then it becomes with a 100 plate a race between the tach and pyro, and a hopeful prayer that no valves get dropped... Hence why i dont do it so often.. A 3K is safer and upgradable, BUT a 4K will fuel further into the powerband than a 3K... So its a matter of preference..
But in simple terms, Id rather have left over than keep wanting more....
