Gsk
Well the 400gsk is going on this weekend with the retainers and keepers(if i ever get them) and i was wondering if anybody has had or heard of anyproblems with rpms climbing above 3600 to 4500 regularly? I would really appriciate replys because once it gets here and on the truck there is no turning back once something goes wrong. And am i more likly to have problems id i tow 18000k regualrly in the summer on long distances and through mountains?

If u have the retainers
keepers and springs you should be ok, i dont have any of the above (savin for them once again) and i can rev to 4K rpms, but i shift at 3200 max or so mosta the time, just to be on the safe side, once in a while it dont hurt to get to 4K and shift, but the most ive done is 3800 and it screams.. Just get the rig setup and like Eric says, have fun...

So if from what i have i can sftly rev to 42 range alot with no problems? Is it any easier to downshift from 4th to third because most of the time if you dont juuge it right it hits 3k and almost puts you through the windshield.

It should be easier, because even if it does rev to 3k you can still wrap it up till 4k or more without a problem. I dont know how much i would want to run past 3500rpm's, but it shouldnt hurt to do it when you want/need to.
