So for no towing just drivin empty most of the time except for some weight in the back sometimes, no more than 1000 lbs. What do you guys suggest, I was gonna go with the 10 plate, but this plate that gunracer modifys sounds like a good plate. Any suggestions?

the #10 plate is good, but for a 160 pump, I'd want more rack travel... I say bust out the grinder and go for broke

I know this is probably a dumb question, but grinding the fuel plate will decrease fuel economy and increase power, right?

the only thing that decreases fuel economy is your right foot... now, a #0 plate and gutted AFC will require more attention to your right foot in order to maintain the same fuel economy, but if you drive it easy, it'll get the same or slightly better (as these trucks are known to do w/ a little more fuel)

but, yeah, your mileage will suffer if you drive w/ a heavy right foot and make a smoke show everywhere you go. (but it'll sure be a fun drive!)
