Thinking that the Lund units are going to fill the bill. No drilling or gluing or screwing necessary.

I have these as well - including the ones for the intercooler openings.

There are two versions - all season and winter. No drilling, or glueing or screwing here. They are mounted by clips and long screws that go through the clips.

I have never had a problem with the snaps. I did make sure the grill was really clean(lotsa rubbing alcohol) and was nice and warm when I attached the glue on snaps. They fit is a little off with hood deflector though.

I have had the Lund cold fronts for 4 winters and no problems. Don't worry about the intercooler getting warm. The charge air is so cold in the winter that you will not benefit from cooling it further. If the temperature is cold enough to use cold fronts, you won't need to cool the charge air much - unless your turbo is way too small for the amount of fuel you run!

I just use cardboard cut to the shape of the grille and attach it with heavy zip ties to my billet grille. I painted them black so they don't look so cheesy.

I also run fanless most of the winter. Up to about 70°, I have no problems running fanless. Makes a big difference in warmup time and MPG.

I ran the winter fronts on my '01 Sport last winter. When I took them off in the spring, I noticed a "line" of flatened fins on the A/C condenser coil. The flatened fins were caused by the hood latch mechanism being pushed back into the coil. I guess the extra drag placed on the grille by not allowing the air to pass through it was enough to force it back into the condenser.

I think this year, I'm not going to run them unless I install some short of protetive guard in front of the condenser.
