lucky. I talked to another cop in town here about my situation and he chuckeld and said I have an '04. He asked if mine was a 12 valve and I said yes, and he said oh ok. He thought my citation was bogus too.

I feel truly blessed.
I'm friends w/ one local sheriff deputy, 2nd cousin to another deputy and get along w/ all the others... they like my straight piped 5" stack!
Today, as I was slowing down for my turn off the highway, the local state trooper (unmarked) was sitting along the highway here in town watching for speeders. I had my banks brake on (loud rushing air noise) as I went past, made my turn and rolled the smoke. Every time I see him on the highway @ 65MPH, he just smiles and waves at me.

I've been running 3 inch straight piped for almost a year. I'm considered the loudest truck in Riggins Idaho! My truck has been heard as far as 1 mile away! Never had any complaints of loud exhuast or been pulled over. I've been ask by all the local cops what kind of exhuast system do I have? "Straight Piped!" is my answer. One cop owns a DuraMax... He would like to straight pipe but it would void his warranty!

1. I melo out when evening time comes. I respect that. People might be sleeping.

2. If I'm going to get loud... I'm going to take it out on the highway away from town. (I try... )

3. Even though exhuast brakes and my exhaust are modified I try to obey the noise ordinance. (Once you leave the city limit its free game!)

My favorite part about the picture has to be the "Cops!!" and the drawing of them and the truck smoke!
