Got the N2O hooked up today
Just got my nitrous all hooked up today. Took it for a couple test drives first at 50 hp, then 100, then 150, and now I have the 200 hp jet in. How will I know if I am going too far? It still smokes a little with the 200. So it's not getting too lean. The egts stay below 1400* as long as I keep the rpm's below 3500. Am I gonna hurt anything like this? How will I know if I am doing damage. I don't use the gas often, just for racing.
Any help would be appreciated. I just don't wanna blow it up!

Did you use what i saw a gas car at school today?
he had a Fire extinguisher bottle clamped to the passenger side A pillar, painted black, with the NOS name on it! not to mention his exhaust, pointed towards the sky, coming out under the side of the car, stickin out almost a foot! about 4 inches from the floor!
sorry, for mentioning it... I had to laugh!
As for the nitrous, i dont know! how is it? woth it? is there a huge power gain?... in the seat of pants?
is that on stock pistons?

Yes stock pistons, as for the power gain...I just about had to wipe after the first time. Definately a strong gain. Can't wait to get it on the dyno

200 HP+: Ummm is that a setting or a fact? I do consider it a loooot!
I read posts somewhere that a diesel put out around 800 HP with only diesel. then with nitrous, it put down around 1000 HP
then someone said: anybody with a shot of nitrous gains 200 HP,
then another one replied, NO it aint that easy! so thats why i thought a 200 HP gain is only on those very big HP guys!
Id be all with your set up!
what does the Nitrous kit run? $$ or should i only put in a fire extinguisher bottle with the NOS name hehe

I don't run nitrous, I just looked at some dyno results with and without and some guys gain 200+
I don't know much, but you'd better be looking at an o-ring and some headstuds before you start playing with the drugs. Also nitrous adds air so you've got to have the fuel there first to make big gains.

The amount of HP added by nitrous varies on many different components. What the gassers use as 200HP won't come close to that in a diesel. The setup we use makes over 250 RWHP gain over straight diesel, but this same setup would be a huge kit on a gasser. Most 200 HP gasser kets that are avilable will make between 80-120 HP on a properly setup diesel.
As mentioned you need to have studs and o-rings or fire rings to run nitrous reliably. Give us a call if we can answer any questions.

We recomment anyone using nitrous stud and o-ring the head. It is only a matter of time before the HG lets loose running nitrous, even a small shot. The cylinder pressures get pretty high on the juice and things go bang.
