I'd turn it up, but mildly.

Put in some Mach 1.6 or Mach 1 injectors and a mild box like an Edge EZ and you'll have a great running rig that has all the power of a new CTD at much lower cost and better mpg.

It's MUCH better imo to take on older 235hp Dodge up to 350hp than to buy a new one rated at 350hp.

The trick is keeping it mild, and avoiding the point where "stuff breeds stuff" and then things start spiraling out of hand.

Nope, your tranny will go out quickly. First of all get a set of gauges, then start saving for a beefed up transmission from Goerend, then you can add all the power you need.

If you go backwards you will be afoot quickly

BTW are you sure you have a 3:55 ? I though most of duallys have 4:10s

Out in WY, all the duallies are ordered with 3.55 or 3.73 gears (whichever is available) because of the higher interstate speeds.

You can't have the RPMs too high when towing your massive load at 80mph, you know

sonnys look in the classifieds on here & buy you an Edge Comp from someone. Get a Valve body for the tranny & have fun. The tranny will continue to provide good service if you go ahead and get the valve body job done. You should do this whether you add any HP or not. This will save the sorry Dodge Torque convertor. Don't waste money on an Edge EZ, when you can get a Comp for the same or a little more.
Suncoast Transmissions is the best way to go IMO, but I am closer to them as well. I recommend the Suncoast tranny products & some formula 1 injectors. You can put a turn buckle on your wastegate(turbo) & keep it closed, which will mechanically over ride the boost limiter.
The first thing you should do is check your fuel pressure out of the Lift pump to see if you are getting the right fuel pressure from your LP. NEVER by stuff for the Cummins motor from Dodge. You can buy it much cheaper somewhere else.

Empty I get @17 in the summer, loaded heavy down @14, but I have a 6 speed. Enjoy your truck and post up some pics when you get a chance. What color is it? Mine is the bright hit me red. Deer can't seem to see me!
