Got my Comp box..

Well I finally got rid of my EZ and got a Comp. The install was pretty simple. The results, well lets just say I'm a happy camper. I've been running it on 3x5 and the smoke is pretty dern thick. I've only put it on 5X5 once and that was when I was just going down the interstate and I had to get on it. Now all I need to do is get me a good Single disk and I'll be happy for a while.

Any Single disk ideas guys? I'm on a budget so I cant afford a 1200 dollar triple disk.

You'll be needing that TC before you know it w/ the Fueling Box

...I got a Goerend Triple but just give Dave G. a call...he'll set you up w/ a nice single package. I called for a single too and by the time you get the Single-Disc and the Valve Body it's almost as much as a Triple, I went this route. No valve body, just the Triple, no complaints at all...truck just keeps pulling

Yeah I already have a shift kit installed. I just need a single disk that will hold 400hp. I believe Dave has one rated at 450 I believe.

Yeah. I have also been looking at Daves converter's. Also do a search on the web for The converter shop. I have heard they have really good converters.

My thoughts exactly..... I think edge could save some $ and make a comp box that's stuck on level 5x5. Mine sure as heck never never never never goes down. Those buttons are just for looks!

Well as soon as I get my tranny to where it can take it on 5x5 trust me it will NEVER go back.

I'll have to check out The Converter shop. I have never heard of them before. Do you know anyone running one in there CTD?

Yeah. i didnt know about TCS until someone in the 3rd gen forum was talking about it, and they said they loved theirs. Go to the 3rd gen perf/acc and look at the thread something like "can the CTD handle 91% torque converter" . He said it was only 750cdn and im guessing thats 600 or so american? Said its a sdingle disk, and holds well, and he loves it. Said they make the converters for ATS or something.

That was my post, and it is 750.00 CDN. It is made by the same company that made DTT's TC's. I like it!
