Good solid 350 HP/??? TQ injector and turbo combo???
I am looking to make a good solid daily drivable 350 HP with what I got and adding some sticks and maybe a turbo. I tow 5-7K with the truck on a regular basis and drive the truck every day, so I don't want something that will take a small shot of nitrous to get spool'n but something that will work well through out the whole power band without some crazy pyro numbers either. I know I could do a whole lot more by stepping up to a comp box or a SMARTY and that will come with time, but for now I am going to stick with the EZ. I know I am pretty much wanting my cake and eat it too, but I know you guys are the combo masters so help a brotha out.
Thanks
Jeremy

See my signature. I have to watch my EGTs when towing my 16K 5th wheel (1450 degF is possible), but some more modern sticks around the same size as the DD2s (like Don M's 1.6s) could give you comparable power/torque with less smoke and cooler EGTs. For a towing rig, I'm at about my limit for the stock HX35W-12.

Smarty, HRVP and Jammer2's got me 376 hp. I've never had to tow anything, so no idea on how it cools. I'm sure it would be toasty, considering I can get up to 1300-1400 in a good 4th gear run. Get some F1 injectors, should get more power and cooler EGTs than I have.

Thanks guys! I was thinking something along the lines of a set of Jammer 3's or Mach 1.6s with a PDR hybrid 35/40. What do you think about that? Eventualy I will sell the EZ and get a Smarty, but that won't be for a while.

I will be getting a ps62/12, mach 1.6 with ez. I should be around 360hp with good spool and room to go up a little later with a TST pm3. From what I have learned on this site, it should be an awesome tow machine especially after getting a dtt tranny upgrade.

Be aware that the 62 combo with a auto, altitude, hi gears and a little larger tires was no good for towing but lots of fun empty.

Mach 2's, Smarty, and a 62/14 (Or 12) manual or 62/12 auto.......would be a strong running truck.....and i currently have NO EGT issues with just the 2's. My clutch just cant hold any more.....

As for the original question going with a 62mm turbo, and Mach 2's will get you the 350 RWHP range.

My 62 worked very well as long as I did not go over 3500' elevation, once over that all bets were off.
I live at 6000' elevation and any direction I choose it just gets higher, I tried to tow my 7500# TT twice with the 62, after the second time I could not get it off fast enough.
When running empty the 62 was a blast to drive, a little bit more lag but not bad once the pump was tweaked some, at 115 MPH I was starting to hit 1300 on the pyro.
This is my experience only I am sure others will have something different to say.
