is this a good power combo?
i need to start bombing...my truck is slow and my buddies psd is embarrasing me..i am thinking of a edge ez (want to keep my trans in one piece) and the stage 1 injectors..this should give around 100hp?? then maybe i can merge onto the highway above 45 mph...also, should i consider getting rid of the 3.53 gears, i am going to be towing a classic car alot (1970 bb cuda conv. for all you mopar guys)..please help me de-slug my ctd..

I would go with the Edge Comp for more power than the EZ and 1's combined.
But either combination will take out your trans, the EZ alone did mine in. I would upgrade the trans rather than re-gear it most likely cheaper too, and is something you will have to do anyway sooner or later.

I think I have finally come to the perfect bomb(24V). For everyday driving and weekend towing. This is JMO, after many useless and bad purchases.
Edge Drag comp, 160HP inj use your personal favorite,B1KS,
4" exh / muffler or 2,Scotty or similar,Wraped head pipe, hood liner,
This is a great combo.drives well ,good mileage, pretty darn fast, Also decently quite inside.
The only extras you`ll have to do is,drivetrain and fuel delivery.
Danny

TorqueThis is running higher-than-stock line pressures (turned up- like i did to mine). he has an ez and stage 1 injectors, but had to pull off the box because the tranny was slipping. he can chime in more on the details. Drecu has an ez on his auto, and it seems to be doing fairly well, unless you drive it wrong.

Tom

I'll throw my 2 cents in with what Tom said. The stock auto, even with line pressures up, just can't hack more than an EZ (or more aggressive box turned down low). You may get lucky with a TST 3 adjustable left on the 1st level (40 HP) and a set of RV275s (another 40 ponies).

Rod

how do i turn up the line pressure?

http://www.dieseltrans.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=68 shows how, I would invest in at least a valve body though.
I ran an EZ and DD1's for about 2 weeks before I realized I wanted more. It did make the truck quick and fun, but 2's with the comp on 1x5 is alot more fun around town.
