Yep - bushings looked about right for a 100K miles... although they are that flexible fresh off the dealer lot. Your track bar bolts were torqued down so hard that the steel cores were locked in place, so very little movement - just a bit of squish (which the zero-deflection bushings eliminated).
Also, if the front end feels more responsive during transient steering, it's because the offset bushings remove the slop from the axle-frame link, so the drag link has a solid base from which to push/pull on the passenger steering knuckle.
