Going bigger cause I hate life on the porch

Let me start off by saying I appreciate everyones help on here. I am getting ready to go to bigger injectors. Right now my truck on the highway is running about 22.2 mpg empty with the comp on 3X3 (EGTs in the mid to upper 6s-post turbo). I understand that mpg has a lot to do with your right foot, but my question is if I switch to Mach 6s or Mach 7s, will I see a drastic change in highway mpg?

first off you better be bringing more turbo than that hx40 for those sticks .like those twins your thinking about.as for you losing milage anytime you and that much more fuel with out the air to burn it yes the milage goes down .now if you get those twins on there around the same time as you throw the sticks in your milage might and i stress might not go down to bad .but at first we all know the milage is going to straight out te window due to playing with all that new power take this as you will . i personally dont have any experance with these injecters.

powerchokeater,

I run both the mach 6's and 2.5's in the same truck with no real change in mileage. Now that doesn't apply if you always have your foot in it As seabee stated you really need to have more turbo than a HX-40 to do justice to mach 6's or 7's...... Also you really aren't setup right for the 7's and I think you will be much happier with the 6's. My truck made over 590 HP last year on #2 alone running mach 6's, Edge Comp, and a B-1 turbo.

If you have any questions feel free to email me @ dfsjetpilot@isp.com

I haven't seen an overall increase or decrease in mileage from going with twins and Mach 6's. The biggest change so far is switching from summer and winter fuel. Here's the complete log:
http://www.firepunk.com/mpg/viewall.php?U_ID=3

You will need more air for the Mach 6's. Along with that you'll need the proper supporting modifications such as (but not limited to) orings or firerings, a fuel system and transmission upgrades.

OH! I think I'm going to have to put it in my signature. It gets typed 50000 times a day and most of the time it comes out right.

...and to keep the thread on track... The original poster will still need more air and supporting equipment to keep his truck together.

My mileage really hasnt changed with 6s or 7s, or 4s or 5s for that matter. I get a little above 19mpg on the highway if I can control my foot. You will need a lot bigger single turbo at least to use them injectors, even empty. Tim

Timmy buddy, I'm really scared of running your old sticks buddy. Too many ford owners around here would hate to see how a truck should do a burn-out the right way.
The best way to get a pooch off the porch is with a bigger stick or a better looking one!!
