O ya....it shifts like a dream, not a hard shift at all...it locks up alot sooner, my old tranny wouldn't shift into overdrive until 55mph on the money everytime and also when cruising on the local roads it doesnt' shift in and out of lock up like the old one.....I wish I would of dynoed it before and after cause I swear actually I know it has more power now it hooks up like mad now...

Hey there,
Got mine installed on Tuesday and Dave finished fiddling with it on Wednesday morning. Drove about 1200km (750 miles) to get home so that was its performance test, LOL. Heck even once you put it in gear it just wants to go, shifts nice and smooth yet still firm. Can actually feel the power going to the ground instead of going to the tranny, haha. I got his Built Tranny with Billet flex plate and billet input.

I think he just fiddled with the TV lever probably. I'm not exactly sure, one of his workers that helped install the transmission said Dave took it for a spin Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, then adjusted some things.

Hey Guys'
If and when i need to get a new trans I'm going with a Goerends 47RE. My question is have any of you had a chance to tow with that trans and how does it operate? Do have a TC lockup switch and do you lockup the TC in 2nd when towing to get started? Ive started off on a few steep hills and the trucks rpms were @ 2000-2100 and could not get enough speed to get into 3rd. Thanks
97 auto 4x4 banks stinger plus 247hp, 565trq, old BD TC, transgo shift kit, Gear Vendor.

After my 2nd trans went out it that was it. Did my research and found Goerend to be the best out there. Went with a HD built Billet Goerend trans with all the upgrades. Best money ever spent. Glad to hear you love yours. Let the HP/Torque mods begin LOL!
