I would call Dave and tell him what you are planning and let him recommend the converter you need. He is very knowledgeable and I have heard only good things about his transmissions.

Are you sure she's not getting "our" definition of twins mixed up with "their" definition of twins?

I'd talk to Dave first. I think he'll recommend the triple disc convertor for the power you'll probably be eventually be making. You'll love it. I'd suggest a complete tranny from him, not just a "box-o-parts". Although that would depend on what is in the box, too, and your ability to put it together properly.

condensr, she did say twin turbos not rug rats .lol

bmoeller , i have talked to dave and he said to run ether the 800/300 or the 10/20 both are triple disk . so now what i need to know is how do you guys like the ones that you have and wich one is it that you have . mostly conserend about out of the hole take offs . cause if i run any desent side injector i cant be laying down big clouds of smoke here in cali with all these eco nuts . so i need something thats going to help my spool up.

I've got the 800/300 (at Dave's recommendation) no problem at all with spooling. I don't have twins, the twins should spool even better.

My t/c is also the 800/300.

Even though it is the looser of the 2 versions, your truck will probably still smoke. Mine does. Of course the 370's are part of it. The smoke is controllable, though. Twins may help with the smoke, too.

My stock t/c and tranny was slipping so bad, I could only hit 30# boost. I can hit 40# now. No other changes. Since I can load the engine better (more boost), my max EGTs have actually come down a bit.
