I searched hi and low. I have been in the classifieds here looking for one for a while and nothing ever came up. I started browsing vendors and found 3 that still listed the Scotty II on thier website. 1 vendor I called told me I had called 3 days too late, as he sold his last one 3 days prior. The second vendor had 1 left, so I bought that one quick, fast, and in a hurry. And you are correct, Scotty put a hold on making any more, no word on if he will start making them again.
Installing it was easy too. Hardest part was lining up the hole saw for the hole in the cowling.

Try them, they still list them on their website. If you search for it on google, you will see Piers, and DPP (diesel power products) come up. I bought mine, from DPP and it was thier last one.
Good luck to you, I hope you guys can get one too.

A slight increase in spoolup, but the prime benifit of the SA II is reduced EGTs and a slight gain in MPG since combustion is a little more efficient since the SA II draws in only cold air.
Check your PM's
oh and what do you want for your BHAF?

i agree with jrs dodge diesel, the hardest part on mine was trying to get the hole saw in that tight of a opening. i couldnt notice mutch difference in noise, just barely. it does spool up quicker than before, and my fuel mileage has improved to right at 20 on highway, and average about 18.5 total.i guess when the silencer ring goes missing, it might sound better.

Thanks, Nick... I didn't realize I was posting in the 2nd Gen. Sorry for getting into the wrong area!
Speaking of chicks liking big trucks... I was driving from work today and was following a school bus... I've got a brow tint and very tinted windows. It's hard to see in. Of course my truck is a very guy-looking rig. There were a bunch of high-school girls just jammed to the back window looking... They made a sign that said "We love you, Baby"... It was funny to see their faces when I turned and they could actually see through the down window there was a chick driving it. You could tell they felt like jerks! It was too funny. Goobers....
