Thumbs up Getting it dialed in! New Sled Pull Videos

Unity WI hook
Put 16 feet on second place, Duramax at 298 feet, 3rd place was a Dodge at 281 feet, most of the rest of the class was around 260'..

Looks like the converter issue is taken care of!

Marshall WI
Made the test hook, then had to pull 15 mins later, truck was HOT, I could have done better, it was so hot it didn't want to light..

295.5 feet on a HOT motor isn't horrible though. 3rd place.

Will probably be looking for some more aggressive tires.

Man youve got it running good now! How many rpms are u turning down the track? Sounds like youre at about 3700. Did u have dave build a looser converter or what?

Bit higher than that RPM wise, it varied quite a bit.

Dave finally got it right, this is my 3rd converter since I've put the motor back in

Nice pulls Garret!! It seems that you have the truck really dialed in.

I seem to remember that you manually shift from 1st to 2nd then lock up the converter. Are you still doing this? When do you unlock the TC in the end if you are locking it? Has Dave started to mass produce a slightly looser TC?

It looks like you're standing on the brakes trying to build boost. How many pounds are you launching at?

Give us all your secrets, inquiring minds want to know

Its getting there!

I do manually shift from 1st to 2nd and lock up when the R's get high enough in 2nd gear (4k or higher)

The RPM's do come down at then end of SOME hooks so I tend to unlock at 3500 to avoid falling under the charger.

Boost lbs I'm launching at? No idea.. I don't watch boost, I'm more interested in engine sound and RPM.

As far as Goerends, this has been a trial and error process, this is the 3rd converter I've had in the truck since the motor went back in.
I'm glad I finally got one loose enough as I was about ready to go to the dark side for a looser converter (ATS)
