Which gauges should I get?

Which gauges should I get?
I haved a 2003 Ram 2500 HO CTD 4x4 48RE and I tow a new 2004 Keystone
Laredo 29BH 5th wheel. For those who have this tow vehicle which
gauges should I install and is there room on the piller to mount
3.
I was thinking EGT, Boost, and trans temp....are these the 3 to get?
Any pics of gauges installed in a Ram 2500 HO
Gauge type and place online would be great.
Thank you !

Re:Which gauges should I get?
You got the order right, I quit waiting on Pricol here is a pic of Isspro Marine EV's that I installed. They now have black bezels on them. I have some in stock and can send pic of the tranny temp with a black bezel if you want to see that one.

WWTD, Thanks for the response. Your pic does not show
the handle built into the piller...I have a handle on my 03.
More pictures would be great...thank you

Re:Which gauges should I get?
I have auto meter gauges, (Tranny, boost and pryo) in a piller mount. But I don't have the handle in the way. I thing BD makes a digital guage piller mount that you can use Monitor X I think (some one will know). That should work just fine!

Re:Which gauges should I get?
I have the Isspro EV series gauges.
Very easy to read day or night.
EGT(pyro), Trans Termp(if Auto Tranny), and your choice of boost or fuel pressure for an '03(if limited to 3).
For the Pre-ECHO 24 valvers, the fuel pressure is more important than boost.

Re:Which gauges should I get?
I have been very happy with my AUTOMETER ulta-lit series gages, they have easy to see back grounds and orange pointers. Also the lighting is great at night, easy to read. I have had other makes. isspro and di-pricol that just had too small of a lamp to illuminate for night time driving. Could not read them at night, so they are in the garbage now.

Re:Which gauges should I get?
Sorry it took so long. When you go with the pillar mount on the 03's you loose the grab handle. I do not cut the stock pillar up, just replace it with the aftermarket version. I have installed some Autometer Phantoms in the 03's they look pretty good. I will agree that the old style Isspro's lack in the lighting dept, but the EV series is top notch, they light up far better than the Autometers that I have used (ultralights and phantoms). Attached pic is of some Phantoms.

Re:Which gauges should I get?
I was just wondering how much the EV gauges cost. Looking at getting a boost, pyro, and fuel pressure. Also I have heard that it is better to put a digital fuel gauge in so you keep the fuel away from the inside of the cab. Do they have a digital EV fuel gauge? thanks

Re:Which gauges should I get?
Farmer Dave,
I think you're refering to Mechanical vs Electronic gauges.
Digital gauges have a number readout (like a digital clock), analog gauges use a needle and face (like a speedometer)
The electronic gauges use a sending unit to convert pressure to signal and send it to the gauge.
The mechanical uses actual pressure to the gauge itself.
I've been using a mechanical gauge mounted on my dash for over two years, not a single drip.
As for pricing, I bought my Isspro EVs as a package from Rod @ www.wildcatdiesel.com
Good people, good pricing, excellent customer service.

Re:Which gauges should I get?
how hard is it to put in some gauges? say a pyro, boost, and fuel pressure? I know that the boost are real easy, just not sure whrere the port is to put it in. thanks dave

Re:Which gauges should I get?
Dr. Evil,
Are you sure that electronic guages have all kinds of problems? I haven't gotten into putting guages on our pickup, but I was planning on haveing a few of my electrical engineering buddies help me build a custom digital readout where the auto tranny readout normally is. I was guessing that the electrical senders should be just as reilable as the mechanical ones, otherwise who would buy them?

Re:Which gauges should I get?
Westach has analog electrical FP gauge 0-30 psi. dakota digital has digital electrical gauge with 0-30 psi. The basic sending units are cheap. I'd rather replace a sending unit than have fuel in my cab..but that's me. Mechanical gauge with isolator is another method, but word is the isolators can be iffy too.
I like analog gauges, but could live with difital for FP.
