Gauges installed. Now readings?

Hello fellas. Just got my guages installed and received my edge comp but have yet to put her in. My questions are as follows

1= Fuel pressure at idle is 14-15 cruising at 70 around 9.5 to 10 and 4 to 6 wot. this is my second lift pump as well.

2= EGT 300 at idle, 700-850 cruising at 70 and this is were I get concerned, all the way to 1000 at wot

3= Boost 0 at idle and 5 to 8 cruising at 70 and a max of 23lbs at wot. I do have the boost elbow installed from the comp but not the comp itself yet.

What do you guys think? Sounds to me fuel is iffy at best but, the exhaust worries me. If its not just me what could I do to lower it? Boost also seems low to me for having the elbow. Although it does make a noticable different sound at high boost, "the turbo that is".

p.s. The pyro is installed pre-turbo and fuel it post filter with a new filter. All readings are empty with lund cold front on as well.

Thanks fellas, i'm very appreciative

The fuel pressure is to low. It needs to be a minimum of 8 at WOT.

EGT's look good to me.

Your not gonna see much more boost than factory without any extra fuel. Install the comp and you'll see the extra boost.

While the numbers are low like Blue said, I would not worry about it. Drive it for a month and see what happens. But watch where you are going!

I just finished installing gauges too. Check out my readings in the post "01 Gauges Installed", they are almost identical to what you are getting. I too was worried about the fuel pressure, but now don't feel so bad seeing you are getting the same readings, and after installing a new pump.

My EGT is slightly higher than yours, but I have a VanAiken box installed so that may account for the difference.

What gauge readings are some of you other guys seeing, especially post-filter fuel pressure?

Thanks fellas, I feel better now. I can't wait to install the comp and see the difference now that I see other than fuel i'm good.

Will a 4inch exhaust really help me out that much with both power and EGT with the comp or will it just sound cool? Thanks again

Four inch exhaust will help some, but you need a turbo or more specifically a bigger exhaust housing. I believe 2000 auto's have the HY-35. If I already had the cash for a new one, I would offer to sell you my HX-35. Start thinking about what your ultimate horsepower goal will be and then you can decide on what turbo you need: 35 hybid, HX-40, B series, twins? Someone can probably know the exact amount a four inch has reduced their EGT's I put mine on prior to gauges.

shouldn't 23 lbs of boost throw an overboost code without the Edge Comp installed???
