Gauges - Goin' in
I have an appointment at the local diesel performance shop to have EGT and Trans temp guges installed, along with a fuel pressure warning LED. All going in the "A" pillar pod painted to match. I can't wait!
The guy that runs the shop (and owns a CTD) told me that the wire the trans temp gauge into the same wiring harness as the factory trans temp gauge that will light up the "TRANS TEMP" idiot light on the dash. Makes sense to me not to have to weld a bung on the pan or plumb in a billet block in line with the cooler lines as I thought they would have to.
Gauges are the ISSPRO. 270* sweep on the trans gauge (needle goes 3/4 of the way around the gauge face, not just across the horizontal like some others that would hardly move) - and the color coded EGT gauge. I like the white faced, but I thought the black faced gauges would look better with the factory black faced units.
Guy tried to talk me into mounting the probe post-turbo, but I wanted it pre-turbo.
