My Older gauges with the white needles seem to show up better than the "New-Improved" orange ones.

A needle valve (~$5.00) will take care of the buzz in your fuel pressure gauge.

The boost gauge rattles
The isolator on the fuel gauge went out twice so I plumbed it direct and now it rattles

Look at the pictures above in the previous post.

Good luck

Mark
If you plumb in a needle valve in-line you can eliminate that rattle (and add some safety).

Plus, you don't have to fill the line with diesel fuel. It will still read pressure with air in its line. What I do is when my guage starts to rattle, I close the needle valve (so the fuel system doesn't lose prime), disconnect both ends of the FP line and blow out the liquid. It reads the same with air in the line, and with no rattle.

About the amplifiers, AFAIK the Isspro EV series require them. They need them since the circuits are taken out of the gauge body, so they are backlit better.

I can't find any illuminated images of the black faced Competition Series so I sent SW tech support and e-mail. Hopefully I'll hear back from someone by Tuesday. EEP is an SW vendor and at the bottom of their products page they have a few pictures of the chameleon LED gauges and I think they look pretty sweet.

Man, what I thought was going to be a simple thing has become such a project.
Stepper motor I believe...been in there for over a year, no problems yet.

Mine are the Competition version....but I like the looks of those Impact gauges too!

Been running isspro's since 2003. Got boost, fuel pressure, EGT, tranny temp, oil pressure, and water temp. Fuel pressure is plumbed straight to the gauge with a needle valve to solve the vibrating, boost is quiet, needles are easy to read, pyro is still accurate (well as accurate as it can get on the peg ), everything is still good. My oil pressure sender is a little finicky at times but they ahd a bad run of senders when I bought mine so I just need to pull it off and get a new one but I'm to lazy.

I voted other. I have had great success with Dakota Digital. I have only had to replace the fp sender once.

i'd say you need a pressure snubber...my DiPricol boost gauge did the same thing and so does my current Isspro.
