Gauge this/your opinion
What three gauges do you think are the most important or informative for an 01 CTD that does moderate towing?

Trans temp, fuel press, and boost.???

I'm looking into the three gauges that mount on the window post, seems like a pretty cool set up.

If you can only have 3 then the two essentials are pyro and fuel pressure. If it's a auto then a trans temps guage and if it's a stick then a boost guage. You might also consider the boost guage in the steering column mount for a auto truck. JMO

Re:Gauge this/your opinion
It depends if you have a manual you would want pyro, boost, and fuel. If the truck is auto then and stock then I would only worry about trans and fuel. It looks like it is stock in your sig. My .02

Scooter

Re:Gauge this/your opinion
It's an automatic trans. (sorry). I assume boost pressure is usually monitored on Manual rather that auto. With it being stock I won't worry with boost pressure...*saving a little money*
Thanks Guys.

IMHO you can line up the gauges following the values of stuff that will get hurt if things get out of hand:

Pyro ( Replacement engine $$$$$$$$$ )
TransTemp ( Rebuild tranny 2000 US$)
Fuel Pressure (New VP44 1500 US$)

Correct me if I'm wrong on some prices

AlpineRAM

Re:Gauge this/your opinion
Boost on a stock Hy35 isn't much worth monitoring, it hits 19.5 # max. Also the engine temps (pyrometer) won't get out of hand on a stock engine, however it is good to have so you don't shut your engine down to early. Even 600 degrees can cook your turbo pretty quick without the engine running.
Tim
