Gauge time!
Alright, so I think it is time for me to get some gauges... shipped to Canada, since that is where I am.
Ideally, I'd like to make them as unobtrusive as possible.
Required:
-EGT
-Boost
Possible:
-Fuel Pressure (12 V, so not totally necessary)
Other thoughts:
-Pre turbo / restriction gauge (like a filter minder) - I should probably just fix the filter minder/when I change the filter set up!
-Tranny/rear end temp gauges (manual trans) - Probably not particularly necessary, nice to have, but more $ and where would I put them?
So, my basic prompts are:
-> Which gauges to get? Ideally they will match the other gauges, within reason. Cost is also a factor.
-> How necessary/beneficial is a fuel pressure gauge. I don't want to redneck up the truck yet, so I want it to read correctly, be safe, etc. I would ideally install a remote sender and run an electrical gauge, I've heard bad things about isolators, but I don't think I'll put the gauge in if it is $$$. Is it really that dangerous to run a diesel line with the needle valve almost closed (for pressure fluctuations) into the cab?
-> Where should I get these gauges? / who has good deals on the complete set up?

check out www.dieselmanor.com for an IssPro complete kit. Reasonably priced and decent install instructions. Have a few different options on where to mount also.

I have the same truck as you and am just running Pyro and Boost.
At the moment I have Isspro's but will be changing that at some point. I will be keeping my pillar mount though.
The only other gauge I really want is a FP, and I would not get an electric FP for my truck, I will be going mechanical/needle valve.
Hope at least some of that was helpful
