Gauge Observations...???'s

I got the DiPricol gauges installed today. I put the pyro probe pre turbo in the exhaust manifold like most everyone else. Truck runs at 250* at idle...400-500* normal city driving...800* under hard acceleration. The boost gauge...I was able to tap 20psi under hard acceleration, usually around 5 psi driving around town and 10psi when I get on it a little bit... If I slide my plate farther forward and supply more fuel, will that create more boost?? My waste gate is plugged right now..I was expecting to see 30 psi of pressure but it was **** hard to get it up to 20...LOL I need some opinions... I'm going to work on it tomorrow..or I should say later...LOL. Check for leaks and try some different pump settings ..

definately. my truck with the 10 plate would peg the gauge at 45 p.s.i. with the stock turbo. I wish my E.G.T.'s were that low

1st thing I did was check for leaks at all the boost fittings...didn't find any. Plus it'll hold 10 psi. I hooked up the wastegate again and it performs the same as it did plugged. It's hard to get up to 20psi...Before I move my plate forward..the question is... Does more fuel equal more boost???

If the wastegate stays shut, you will get more boost with more fuel. If your wastegate is functional and operates at stock specs, you'll be hard pressed to get much past 20. Plug it, or use an elbow, and you'll get well past that when you push the plate forward.
