Gauge mounting
I'm about ready to put in some gauges, (egt, fp, tranny and boost) and need some input on where to mount them. On the pillar seems the best to me but so far I've only found the three gauge pods to go there. Is there a clean way to put all four on the pillar? I do have the factory speaker in the way if that makes a difference. Future plans are a comp (no tap), then tranny upgrades, then tap the wire, Scotty intake and finally exhaust. Do I really need the boost gauge with those kind of mods? Is it's purpose just to let me know if there's a turbo problem?

I love my Rod's Pod! The gauges are always in the line of sight when driving and it doesn't require any additional head movement to double check a gauge. Maybe if we're lucky Scotty still carries them?
(I've replaced the air compressor boost gauge with a real Isspro 100psi gauge since the picture.)

Take a look in my member photo section. You will see how I mounted four gauges on the pillar, using a 3-pod mount with an added single pod that I got cheap from JC Whitney. I think that it turned out pretty well. PM me if you have any questions.

Bigrhamr,
More gauges equals more information etc. Get a pyro boost fuel pressure and tranny temp and you will be set. The boost is the least important so it would be the one to drop if you want to go with the A pillar mount. Auto Meter is the leader in gauge mounts they use REVO Tech material that's OEM approved as far as sun, temp and UV controls. Auto Meter had a design for a 4 gauge A pillar mount but the top gauge was so far in your face that they decided it wouldn't be practical. We have 3 gauge A pillars, 1 gauge steering column mounts, 3 gauge on the dash mounts too. The A pillars are available in a speaker or no speaker design as well. Plus we have all the Auto Meter and DiPricol gauges and even a factory built installation wiring harness that will save you three trips to the hardware store during the installation.
Give us a call if you have any questions etc.
