Gauge mount prototype
Built this one tonight out of some pegboard to see how I would like the position. Seems to work well. When I build the plastic one I will bring the gauges out flush so there will be no face cover up on the small side.

I trimmed the top of the dash panel to fit the bezels. I also notched the backside of the of the dash panel (black part) and slide the MDF under it to the left, there is a screw holding the gauges in on the right side. I had to cut away a lot of the actual dash (grey part) to get the third gauge to fit.
Mounting point for the screw on the upper left isn't there anymore, as well as any of the sorry cup holder mounts in the dash.
I was always leary of hacking up any original parts because of resale value, but have bought enough used vehicles with worse looking dashes. And bought them anyway, besides I plan to keep the Dodge for a long time.
