Gauge light hook up.
Looking for some insight on what wire to tap into for the lights in my brand spankin new gauges I installed. I would like to get into the dash light circuit so they can be dimmed. I found the fuse for the the dash lights on the drivers side of the dash but it's not easy getting directly to the fuse box. I thought it would be easier to tap into a wire coming out of the back of it but did not want to poke holes in all of them to find the right on. Thanks for any info!!

If I remeber correctly, I pulled the headlight switch on mine and tapped into the Tan (I think) wire and that dimmed with the dimmer switch. I run all three of my gauge lights from that and have had no trouble.

Use a fuse tap at the panel, "Illumination" fuse. No need to pull the switch and you have the dimmer function. The wire drops down really easy! I can send you pics, if you'd like?

If you look above the fuse panel, behind the plastic cover, you'll notice approximately 1/2" gap, which you can run your wire through. PM me your email address and I'll show you a pic of my install. I was like you; stressing over the darn light wire ... I laugh when I reflect!
