ok really in need of some gages at this point, thing is there so expencive for all for and a piller that only holds 3 im looking at around $500, i found ones i like there a carbonfiber, but the boost gage in the set only goes up to 35psi, and i dont know where to mount the 4th. anyone seen the 60 psi carbonfiber and ideas where to mount the 4th gage???

 

for my 3 guage pillar+guages was only 380....as far as where to put a 4th guage...not sure on that one...

 

The fourth gauge can be installed in the cubby on the dash next and below of the radio. There is a kit somewhere that allows the install. Also, you can buy gauge holders that go on the steering column. I have the EGT, Boost, & Trans Temp Autometer Carbon Fiber gauges that I just took out of my 2500 yesterday as I put on a Juice with Attitude. THey look great in my opionion. I will be placing themo n the classifies section here shortly.

mx684 where did u get urs from? depending on how much the trans temp gage is that could be about right. ill have to look it up and see

http://genosgarage.com has them I'm sure other vendors as well. I like it but it does make some of the idiot lights hard to read as you can see.

 

Another option:

 

I'm thinking Of the westech combo (boost & egt) gauge with the small cubby hole bracket from genos for my truck. Alos going to put a low pressure led right next to it, if it fits. You could mount your fourth gauge there, I think a 99 would have the same cubby hole.

 

When it comes to gauges, I always recommend to people to put them where you don't have to take your eyes off the road just to look them.
There nothing like driving stupid and then taking your eyes off the road.

My 98 has 4 gauges and I have the same setup as 2500 Ram; 3 on the pillar and the 4th gauge in the column pod.
My 95 has 3 gauges; the two important pyro and boost gauges on the pillar, and the 3rd gauge-trans temp is under-dash like DR Evil posted (my wife wanted it that way since trans temp gauges hardly move anyway)

Westac gauges are cheasy, and very cheaply built...I've installed aton of them for other people. Their combo gauge is a joke to read at a glance.

this group of pictures shows two options of mounting on or around the factory gauge cluster (one gauge per side). i have never seen this before - have any of you seen this before?

from glancing back and forth between the link and 2500ram's posted picture, i would say the mount on the left (link pictures) might fit our trucks.

any comments, past experience, + or -?

I plan on putting the 4th gauge in the cubby as well, but if I do that then I need to rethink how to wire in heated seats since I had originally planned on using the OEM switch.
